Procedure to followed by the candidates to apply for the posts which are filled up by direct recruitment

Do's
Application should be in Revised New Form No. I, in duplicate only. No other form will be considered and such an attempt will end up in rejection of the application.
Application must be legibly filled in the blocks provided and must be duly signed by the candidate wherever needed. Name of the post must be mentioned clearly.
Photographs must necessarily be affixed to the application.(The Photographs should be signed wherever required to be signed).
Applications are available at the office of the K.P.S.C. Bangalore and as well as at the Divisional offices of K.P.S.C. Mysore, Belgaum and Gulbarga, Government Central Book Depot and Recognised book-sellers.
Application should be addressed to the Secretary, K.P.S.C., Bangalore and may be handed over in-person at the Office of the K.P.S.C., Bangalore or in any of the Regional Offices of K.P.S.C. at Mysore, Belgaum and Gulbarga. However application sent by the post should be addressed to the Secretary, K.P.S.C., Bangalore, only.
Application should reach the Office on or before the last date prescribed (including in-service candidates and candidates claiming reservation).
ENCLOSURES ALONG WITH THE APPLICATION FORM
Marks cards of all the years/ Semesters of the qualification prescribed for the post.
SSLC marks cards/TC/Extract of Cumulative Record showing the date of birth as proof of age.
Candidates claiming the benefit of Reservations of the following categories should enclose the copies of the certificates signed by the competent authorities which are duly attested by themselves as prescribed in the Government Order No. SWL 132 SAD 97 dated 8-2-2000.

SC/ST : Form - D
CAT. I : Form - E
CAT. 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B : Form - F

SC/ST/C-I: - The Caste Certificate issued by the Tahsildar is valid until it is cancelled.

2A,2B,3A,3B:- The Income and Caste Certificate issued by the Tahsildar is valid for a period of one year from the date of issue for the purpose of employment.

Certificate in support of rural education, the candidates has to furnish the same in Form No. II as prescribed in G.O. dated 13-02-2000.

In case of GM candidates claiming Rural Reservation, candidates have to take note of Creamy Layer Concept and have to furnish Form No.I along with Rural Certificate duly issued by the Competent Authority as prescribed in G.O.No. 2001. dated 13-02-2001.
Certificates and documents in support of service rendered by them in case of ex-servicemen.
Medical Certificate in support of their disability in case of Physically Handicapped candidates(Applicable to Group-'C' posts only).
Service Certificate regarding their present and Previous employments in case of in-service candidates.
Certificate regarding the Members of Project displaced persons (Applicable to Group-"C" posts only).
FEE STRUCTURE:-
Fees prescribed for the post must be paid by the candidate in the form of IPOs / DDs purchased in favour of Secretary, KPSC, Bangalore.
SC/ST/CAT.I/EX-MP candidates are exempted from the payment of prescribed fee. However they have to pay the minimum fee of Rs. 10/- for issue of marks scored by them in the interview if they desire so.

For Group 'A' posts ----- Rs. 50/-
For Group 'B' posts ----- Rs. 40/-
For Group 'C' posts ----- Rs. 25/-
AGE LIMIT AND RELAXATION:-

Age limit - Minimum --- 18 years
Maximum --- 33 years
Relaxation of age for different categories is as follows:-
SC/ST/Cat.I ---- 5 years
2A/2B/3A/3B ---- 3 years
EX-MP ---- Number of years served by them plus 3 years.
Physically Handicapped ---- 10 years
Widows ---- 10 years
In-service ---- No. of years of actual service rendered by them in any of the Departments of Karnataka State or any Dept. owned or controlled by the Government of Karnataka or 10 years whichever is less.
No. of years of service rendered by a candidate who has been released from National cadet Corps.( N.C.C) after service as a whole-time Cadet Instructor.
No. of years of service rendered by the candidate as Village Group Inspector appointed in a Rural Industrialisation Scheme sponsored by the State Government.
No. of years of service rendered by the candidate who is or was a Member or a Staff of the former Maharaja of Mysore.
No. of years of service rendered by the candidate who is/was holding a post under the Census Organisation of Government of India or five years whichever is less.
A candidate who is a bonded labourer by 10 years.
Don'ts
Applications should not be typewritten, Xeroxed or in any other format, other than prescribed.
Applications posted by the candidates before the last date but received by the office after the last date are liable for rejection.
Do not send the applications without photographs; such applications are liable for rejection.
Do not send the applications which are unsigned.
Do not send incomplete marks cards of any years / semesters.
In case of In-service candidates applications submitted well in-time to the appointing authority, but received in the office after the last date are liable for rejection.
Do not send the applications if you are under aged/ Over aged.
Do not send applications without prescribed fees.
Do not send Xerox copies of IPOs/DDs
Do not send the application, if you do not have prescribed qualification.
Do not send the application without mentioning the name of the post.
